Do come to admissions, they really are helpful. When I first started my admissions process at Barry University, it was a lot of stuff that I made up in my mind. So I was like, this is going to be like this. I'm not going to be able to pay this.
And when I actually came over here, and the counselor sat down with me, it was a completely different thing. And now that I work in the Admissions Department of the school, it's actually-- I can see how much they actually care about the student that's coming in. So you're not just a number. You're not just a paycheck for them. They actually do care as a person for you.
I think the biggest reason campus tours and visits are extremely important is the student is able to actually visualize and experience what the campus has to offer. And a lot of times, pictures can look one way. When you're actually on campus, and you get to tour, and speak with current students, and really get a feel for what the university has to offer, you really get a sense of if this is going to be the right fit for you.
So our application process is extremely straightforward. All we require is an application. Our application is free on our website. We're also through the Common App as well. All we need are copies of transcripts and test scores. Once a student applied, and if they're accepted, they get a merit-based scholarship in their acceptance package that goes up to $17,000 per year.
